GT-POWER is the industry standard for engine performance simulation, utilized by major engine manufacturers and vehicle OEMs. It predicts key engine performance metrics such as power, torque, airflow, fuel consumption, and turbocharger performance. Beyond basic predictions, GT-POWER extends to cylinder emissions, intake and exhaust system acoustics, in-cylinder temperatures, and control system modeling. The software includes advanced features like a multi-pulse diesel combustion model, SI combustion models, and complete chemical kinetics solvers. It also offers a vehicle model for integrated simulations and co-simulation with tools like Simulink. Advanced capabilities include finite element solutions for cylinder temperatures, comprehensive turbocharger modeling, and port injection wall wetting. GT-POWER supports the creation of calibration maps, controller strategies, and exploration of operation within a traditional testing and calibration process. Users can analyze turbocharger performance across various ambient conditions and study engine sensitivity to knock. Acoustic analysis for transmission loss, drive-by noise, and sound generation is also possible. GT-POWER add-ons are available for enhanced simulation capabilities.
